Chris DeBoer has been building and doing carpentry for more than 20 years and can handle homes of any size and design. A small company means excellent, personalized service on your new (or newly updated!) home. We don't measure success by how many homes we build or how fast we build them, but rather on providing a high quality product. After all, we don't just build houses, but homes.

FARM PROPERTY IN HAYWOOD
New construction on the property included barns that double as farm equipment storage and rustic event space; a carriage house with garages, office, and an apartment; and a luxurious main house with expansive living spaces and art gallery. We also renovated an historic farmhouse on the property, fully modernizing it while keeping its design true to it roots. In addition to serving as General Contractor, DBC created custom details such as curved porch supports, a copper chimney cap, and reproducing a period mantlepiece.
CONTEMPORARY HOME IN SHELBY
This new home was a design collaboration between the couple and Chris. It includes an 18-foot window feature wall with onyx-covered chimney, a timberframe patio with outdoor kitchen, an elevator, and a large working kitchen and pantry. The homeowners knew the style and functions they wanted, and Chris worked closely with them over several months to put together plans to fit everything together. The result is a modern style with plenty of outdoor living space and mountain views, a highly functional kitchen and pantry, and an easily accessible design to meet the needs of aging.
DBC has worked with this couple for a decade, previously completing renovations on a historic home, retro-fitting farm buildings for modern agri-business, and doing custom carpentry projects.
